Darach plus other artists

Join us for an international extravaganza at the North Atlantic Fiddle Convention, bringing together outstanding artists from across the North Atlantic. Darach, the duo of Scottish fiddler Roo Geddes and Galician guitarist Hugo Franco, bring a special connection to NAFCo, with Hugo returning to Aberdeen having first travelled here as part of the youth programme at the last convention. Portage is a fiddle-driven Canadian supergroup featuring Anne Lederman, Alanna Jenish, Erynn Marshall and Christina Smith, weaving together musical traditions from across Canada and the Appalachian region in a vibrant and engaging performance. From Sweden, Pernilla Stendahl, Göran Premberg, Mats Nilsson and Ingegerd Sigfridsson share the distinctive sounds and dances of Swedish fiddle traditions. A very special collaboration created just for NAFCo sees Troy MacGillivray, Janine Randall and Liz Doherty join forces, alongside renowned dancer Nic Gareiss, bringing together musical traditions from Cape Breton, Newfoundland and Ireland. A brilliant evening of international talent not to be missed.
