Scott Manson is an Aberdonian pianist, composer, and conductor currently studying with Adam Swayne on the Joint Course at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) and The University of Manchester. His solo recital experience includes performances at festivals and venues across Aberdeenshire and Scotland, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In his first year at RNCM, he was awarded The Shirley Cattarall Award for Piano, and at The University of Manchester he won the Hargreaves Prize for Academic Performance.

He was selected from the RNCM to attend the Leeds International Piano Competition 2024 as a Piano Ambassador, performing lunchtime recitals and bringing classical music to wider audiences via the award-winning Leeds Piano Trail. He has also conducted the Manchester University Symphony Orchestra, String Orchestra, and Wind Orchestra and is looking forward to further performances with the Music Society throughout the year.

He first performed in the Deeside Community Theatre in 2023 and is delighted to be returning as part of the 2025 Aboyne and Deeside Festival. Tonight's programme contains popular favourites by Bach and Debussy (Suite bergamasque), alongside a variety of repertoire standards and little-known pieces from Beethoven, Dowland, Sadie Harrison, Amy Beach, and Prokofiev. This event is a joint event between the Aboyne Arts and Theatre Development Group and the Aboyne and Deeside Festival.
