Aberdeen Chamber Music Concerts
Aberdeen Chamber Music Concerts, founded in 1930, is now embarking upon its 90th season. It normally offers six or seven concerts over the course of a season, held on Mondays at 7.30 pm at Fountainhall at the Cross Church, on Albyn Place, Aberdeen AB10 1YN. The concerts are all given by professionals, ranging from soloists to quartets and larger groups. Over the years it has had concerts from nearly all of the “names of the day” but it increasingly strives to assist promising newcomers to the field of chamber music.
All concerts are open to anyone on the purchase of a single ticket, at a cost normally of £18. There is a reduced rate of £9 for under 25s, unemployed, and disabled and their carers. Schoolchildren can attend free of charge. To obtain a ticket for a single concert, you can visit Aberdeen Box Office or apply online to Aberdeen Performing Arts, or simply come along on the evening of the concert.
However, a subscription to ACMC, currently £84 for the year, offers better value for regular attenders. You can find a subscription application form on the ACMC website, at www.aberdeenchambermusic.org.
