Llewelyn Blezard-Greenwell
I am Llewelyn Blezard-Greenwell, a seventeen year old organist, harpist and pianist. I live in the North East of England in County Durham, and have been studying music since the age of four, when I started learning the piano. I started playing the organ at the age of ten when a local parish church (St Mary’s, Gainford) was offering an apprenticeship for a young person who wished to learn the instrument. Since that point I have held organ scholar posts in two prestigious locations (Ripon Cathedral and Yarm Parish Church), and have also been appointed Associate Organist at Gainford. I have had the honour of playing recitals both nationally and internationally, particularly worthy of note are Lichen Basilica (Poland) and Halifax Minster. In the future I would like to study music further at conservatoire and eventually become a Cathedral Director of Music. In the more immediate future, I have been appointed Organ Scholar Elect at St Davids Cathedral, and I shall start work there in September 2025. I am extremely excited to have been given the opportunity to perform on the Hill organ of Aberdeen Cathedral, and I hope that you enjoy my playing on this monumental instrument!
