Les Piques du Rivet

To celebrate the 130th anniversary of the Franco-Scottish Society of Scotland, the Aberdeen Branch is opening its new season with a free concert by "Les Piques du Rivet", a cello ensemble from Bordeaux. 

Most of the musicians have studied at the Conservatoire Jacques Thibaud de Bordeaux. Several of them teach and study music. A number of them have continued to play socially whilst also playing other instruments.  

The programme will include music by Tchaikovsky, Vivaldi, Wagner, Piazzola, Metallica, Villa-Lobos, Bizet and Fauré.
