David and June Gordon Memorial Trust Young Artist 2024

Latest in the line of outstanding young cellists to be awarded Cello Festival Young Artist, James Conway, together with wonderful Dina Duisen, will present an evening of exciting cello and piano music.   In addition to a stunningly virtuosic solo cello piece by Penderecki, the programme will include sonatas by Grieg, Poulenc and Beethoven’s inventive variations on a theme from The Magic Flute by Mozart.

Currently studying as a postgraduate at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, James was awarded the Leonard Rose Award for Cello during his time at the Royal Northern College of Music.

Dina Duisen is much in demand as a recitalist and duo player all over the world. She is resident pianist for Prussia Cove Masterclasses and her duo collaborations include regularly working with Nicola Benedetti.
