String Ensemble Day with Aaron McGregor

The Inverurie Music workshop season continues with a String Ensemble Day with Dr Aaron McGregor on Saturday 17th February 2024 at Kemnay Church Centre. There are places for around 20 string players (violin, viola, cello and double bass) who will come together to play for the day with expert tuition from Aaron.

The music planned for the session is Grieg: Holberg Suite and the parts are available here.

There may also be a piece to sightread if there is time.

The cost for the day is £25 standard price. There is a reduced cost of £15 for those in full-time education, and for those on disability or low-income benefits.

There is a slight change to the advertised timetable (in response to feedback) to allow more playing time in the morning and an earlier end to the day.

9.30 - arrival and set up with refreshments provided
10.00 - 11.30 - tutored session
11.30 - 11.45 - refreshment break
11.45 - 13.00 - tutored session
13.00 - 13.45 - lunch
13.45 - 14.45 - tutored session
14.45 - 15.00 - short comfort break
15.00 - 15.30 - performance session
15.30 - depart

Lunch will be available at the Centre cafe for £9 (soup/sandwiches/tea/coffee) - or feel free to make your own plans.
