CHROMA

CHROMA is a new project from pianist Dave Milligan, and marks a rare appearance from him as a bandleader. Milligan is perhaps more familiar to jazz audiences as a sideman, in particular as pianist and arranger with Colin Steele, helping to shape each of the trumpet star’s albums and projects over the last 20+ years. Dave is known as a versatile, inventive player with a unique relationship with both jazz and folk, and is widely regarded as one of the early pioneers of the now familiar crossover style that is so firmly embedded in the Scottish music scene. CHROMA features some of the most exciting voices in Scottish jazz, playing original music that celebrates fearless improvisation, intoxicating groove and irresistible folk-flavoured melody.
