Creative Ensemble for instrumentalists aged 12-18 (S1-S6)

Get Creative is a creative music making programme for young people in North East Scotland aged between 8-18 years run by sound in Aberdeen.

Get Creative offers performance and composition workshops throughout the year giving young people the opportunity to gain skills, experiences and a wider understanding of creative music making with professional composers and musicians. 

The workshop involves playing as part of an ensemble and reading music, so participants need to be technically proficient on their instrument and have some experience of playing with others and reading musical notation. Approximate/equivalent standard for guidance is Grade 3 minimum. 

Please note that the suggested ages are only a guideline - we encourage participants to attend the group that would be most beneficial to them at this point in their creative development. However, we typically recommend the Ensemble for young people who are already attending secondary school.
