Shazam Theatre Company

Shazam Theatre Company is a charity that runs a range of fun and friendly drama workshops and theatre groups for young people aged 8-30. Our professional and dedicated tutors use drama techniques to develop skills in performance, but also to build confidence, nurture creativity and forge friendships.

We offer our participants a range of unique opportunities that include performances at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, National Theatre 'Connections' Festival and large-scale productions in Aberdeen.

Shazam Theatre Company makes drama accessible to many young people in the North-East of Scotland and uses drama as a way to develop young people’s confidence, creativity and social skills. Over the past two years our performances have included “Bugsy Malone” and “The Wizard of Oz” at the newly renovated Tivoli Theatre, “Too Fast” which was performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this summer, “The Musicians” and “Remote” as part of the National Theatre’s “Connection’s” festival and many other productions. Finalists for a number of national awards, Shazam now boasts a 50-strong cast of young people who attend their five youth theatres.
