Concordia String Orchestra
- dir.
- Tim Tricker
Concordia is an amateur string orchestra based in Aberdeen, which was formed in 1997 and comprises musicians from all walks of life, including students, teachers, accountants and engineers.
The orchestra has steadily grown in reputation and membership, offering players the opportunity to meet new people, play challenging music and develop their musicianship skills in a relaxed and friendly environment. Although an amateur group, we pride ourselves on our high quality of musicianship.
Getting involved
Concordia is seeking to recruit more players.
Do you play to Grade 5 standard or above? Are you looking for an Aberdeen orchestra to play in? Then why not join us?
Send an email to info@concordiastringorchestra.org.uk if you wish to discuss whether this is the orchestra for you.
Or come along to a trial rehearsal - you will be made very welcome.
Rehearsals
We meet to rehearse on Tuesday evenings in Aberdeen, from 7.30 to 9.30 pm, with a tea break mid-rehearsal and generally perform two or three concerts for the public each year.
