Formed in 2022, the Granite Ensemble aims to provide high-level performing opportunities and concerts for local players and audiences.
The Ensemble gave its debut performance at St. Machar Cathedral in August ’22 with a programme of string orchestra music by Hindemith, Janacek, and Suk. In January '23, we performed Sally Beamish's Flodden with soprano Shuna Scott Sendall, alongside Beethoven Symphony No. 2.
