Part of St Andrew's Cathedral at Noon Recital Series
Date

Venue
St Andrew's Cathedral

For this recital, Ronnie Gibson will attempt to weave a tapestry of unaccompanied fiddle music from Scotland, Scandinavia and North America in an unbroken thread from start to finish. He is excited to be performing today on an eighteenth-century Parisian instrument that was recently gifted to him by a generous benefactor.

Ronnie Gibson is a local-authority peripatetic music instructor and community-music practitioner. He has written extensively on the history of Scottish fiddle music and gained a reputation for writing interesting and effective arrangements of folk tunes from around the world.
