Kenneth Petrie & Harry Williamson
Part of St Andrew's Cathedral at Noon Recital SeriesKenneth has sung since he was at school in Dundee appearing in several choirs and musical societies. He studied with Frances McCaffertyin Dunfermline and in Aberdeen was a student at the North East of Scotland Music School studying under a number of different tutors, including Raimund Herincx.
Before retiring he was, for twenty-five years, minister at Craigiebuckler Church where he was always keen to promote and support the musical life of the congregation and wider community.
Kenneth continues to sing with Aberdeen Choral Society of which he has been a member for twenty six years and enjoys performing concerts along with his accompanist and friend Harry Williamson.
Harry Williamson has been organist and choirmaster at Springfield Church (formerly Craigiebuckler Church) since 2005 and is also the musical director of the Northern Lights Singers, a new choir which comprises members from the former Acclamations Choir and the Morven Singers. Harry enjoys playing piano for singers and instrumentalists at concerts, musical competitions, music lessons and exams and is also the rehearsal accompanist for Aberdeen Choral Society and the Haddo House Choral Society.
