Brahms without qualms
Joseph Long
Part of
Cowdray Hall Lunchbreak Concert Series
Pre-concert talk: 12:00-12:20
Brahms without qualms is a relaxed exploration of Johannes Brahms’s piano miniatures, presented across a series of lunchtime recitals. Rather than treating these works as a daunting “complete set”, the series approaches these profoundly intimate and reflective pieces in as unassuming a way as possible, allowing the listener to experience them in a series of concise and carefully balanced programmes.
Delve deeper into the programme at our free pre-concert talk starting at 12 noon.
This is the first instalment of Brahms without qualms by Joseph Long. The second concert of the mini-series will take place on 8 April 2027 where Joseph will continue his exploration of Brahms’ work for piano.
