I began my musical journey in Hong Kong, starting piano at the age of four and violin at the age of ten. After attending a summer music course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2019, I developed a deep appreciation for Scottish music and landscapes, which inspired me to pursue my musical studies in Scotland.
I graduated from the University of Aberdeen with upper second-class honours in piano performance. During my studies, I was the orchestral pianist for the Symphony Orchestra, achieved the ATCL in piano and ARSM violin diplomas, and was awarded NESMS scholarships (piano & violin) from 2021 to 2025. The valuable experience I gained from school placements at Dyce Academy (2023) and Meldrum Academy (2022) inspired me to dedicate my life to teaching.
I am currently preparing for my LTCL piano diploma while pursuing a Master of Music Therapy at Queen Margaret University.
As a piano teacher in Sonata Piano School, I focus on improving students’ technical skills while making lessons enjoyable and tailored to each individual. I hope my passion for music will inspire my students deeply.
Cathedral at Noon Recitals
The St Andrews Cathedral at Noon Recital Series runs every week, 52 weeks of the year. Over the many years it has been running, it has hosted some outstanding local talent alongside regular visiting musicians. Performances can vary from solo instruments (recently including organ, piano, violin and bassoon!) to larger groups such as string orchestras and choirs. You can expect a wide range of styles from early Renaissance all the way through to modern experimental music. The recitals are free and short, and are followed by tea, coffee and biscuits. Donations to the Cathedral funds are gratefully received.
