Philip Adie Trio
Part of Aberdeen Jazz Festival 2025After six years at the Rotterdam Conservatory and two decades of experience on the continent, Aberdeen-born, Seville-based Philip Adie (acoustic guitar) returns to his native city with a well-honed jazz flamenco fusion sound. Accompanied by long-term collaborators Luis Pérez (double bass) and Nacho Megina (drums & percussion), Adie integrates an eclectic blend of flamenco with jazz and improvisation, moving smoothly between forms in a style that evokes and draws influence from a meeting between Paco de Lucia and Frank Zappa, creating expansive musical landscapes.
