Brian Kellock & Colin Steele

Part of Aberdeen Jazz Festival 2025
Date
Venue
Cowdray Hall

Two of Scotland’s foremost jazz musicians, pianist Brian Kellock and trumpeter Colin Steele, have been long-time collaborators; together there's almost nothing they can't play! For this special gig, the intrepid duo have decided to draw inspiration from Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong. They'll be playing some of their best-known tunes like 'It Don't Mean a Thing,' ‘Mood Indigo,' and 'Solitude' before taking a musical wander through the great American Songbook and beyond.

Favourite tunes joyfully reimagined, faithful to the originals but played with imagination, creativity, freshness, and flair. Top-class swinging jazz musicians at the top of their game.
