Brass Ensemble Concert: ‘Handel and Bach meet the modern’

Date
Venue
St Columba’s Bridge of Don
Bill Harrison

Through music, brass musicians from Germany inspire faith and community. Part of a concert tour through Scotland, making friendships. They are kindly hosted by people of our St Columba's church, getting to know people and our area, and making music in concerts, worship and communities as they tour across Scotland this Autumn.

The ensemble is one of 7,000, involving 100,000 people in Germany. In their 150-year history, this youth- and music-movement ‘Posaunenchor’ is praising God, delighting people, making joyful community, lifting souls and moving hearts. Where words struggle, music opens doors.

The concert takes in some of the great German Composers, including some well-known hymn tunes, through to modern arrangements and compositions, all played by a 12-piece brass ensemble. The concert is free of charge with no tickets. Just turn up and leave a donation if you wish.
