The Giant Cello Ensemble with soloists

As the culmination of eight days of Cello festivities and hard work on the Cello Festival Summer School, based in Tarland, the Giant Cello Ensemble will be full of joie de vivre!  Always incredibly popular, this concert mixes music to suit all tastes, played at the highest level by professionals and conservatoire students joined by local cello-playing enthusiasts.

The first half of the concert will include classics by Vivaldi and Max Bruch and the second half, Tchaikovsky’s epic Swan Lake Suite.  All four of the Aboyne Cello Summer School’s fabulous tutors will be on stage with the orchestra during this concert – an historic occasion!
