Scottish cellist Hugh Mackay is a versatile young musician involved in solo performance, chamber music, early music and orchestral work. While studying at the Royal Academy in London, he has won the Suggia Gift and 1st prize in the Nancy Nuttall Cello Sonata Competition along with pianist Junyan Chen. This year he is playing in the Sinfonietta of London and in the LSO.

Shanghai-born pianist Junyan Chen has won both the Vigo and Osaka International Piano Competitions. She gave her Wigmore Hall debut concert in May 2023, and she and Hugh are giving recitals in many different venues here and abroad.
