Adrian McBurnie
Adrian McBurnie was born and brought up in Gloucester. His singing ambitions suffered an inauspicious start when, aged six, he was the only child turned down for the infant school choir. Subsequent experience in church and other school choirs led him to continue singing whilst a maths student, when his musical tastes ranged from Gilbert and Sullivan to weekly choral evensongs. Whilst working in London he sang with the Exmoor Singers and Vasari Singers, performing at the Proms with the latter. Work in the oil industry brought him to Aberdeen in January 2000 for nine months, a stay which he has been pleased to have extended for a further 24 years and counting. In his time in Aberdeen he has sung with various choirs, including Con Anima Chamber Choir, of which he was a founder member in 2001. He receives singing lessons from Judith Howarth, and was previously taught by Jean Webster. His other musical interests include playing the violin in Concordia String Orchestra, and occasionally composing pieces himself.
Harry Williamson
Harry Williamson has been organist and choirmaster at Springfield Church (formerly Craigiebuckler Church) since 2005 and is also the musical director of the Northern Lights Singers, a new choir which comprises members from the former Acclamations Choir and the Morven Singers. Harry enjoys playing piano for singers and instrumentalists at concerts, musical competitions, music lessons and exams and is also the rehearsal accompanist for Aberdeen Choral Society and the Haddo House Choral Society.
