Universities Folk and Trad Society

Ensemble type: Folk

The Folk and Trad Society is a ‘craicing’ group of friendly musicians. We don’t hold auditions, and any level of musician is welcome. If you do have some musical experience and would like something more committed, you can choose to join our subgroup, the Elphinstone Fiddlers, an ensemble of players who play varied events throughout the year, including ceilidhs, sessions and more. We play folk and trad tunes from all over the world, including compositions from our members, all the while having a great time at regular socials and events.

We play ceilidhs, folk festivals and various concerts as well.
