A Cappella Singing in Aberdeen, Scotland

Ensemble type
A cappella group

The Aberdeen Chorus of Sweet Adelines International is a choir of around 75 singers from Aberdeen, Scotland who sing in four part harmony a cappella style.

The chorus is one of the top women’s barbershop choruses in the UK having won the UK Championships no fewer than six times.

A cappella singing is always unaccompanied and although the 4-part style sung by the chorus is often called “Barbershop Style”, the chorus sings many different styles of songs. The choir performs in and around the Aberdeen area but also performs around the country including a regular slot at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
