Yichun Feng began her vocal studies at the age of 15 under the guidance of Professor Yi Xu at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. In 2011, she continued to nurture her passion for singing at Shanghai Normal University, studying with Yuan Yao. Her journey then took her to Bangor University, where Marian Bryfdir's mentorship deepened her love for singing and inspired her to pursue it further. Currently, Yichun is a PhD student at the University of Aberdeen, focusing her research on The Influence of Western Opera and Vocal Techniques on the Evolution and Development in Art of Vocal Singing in China. She is supervised by Professor Chris Collins and receives vocal training from Judith Howarth and Kate Hughes.
