University of Aberdeen Chapel Choir

The Chapel Choir is an auditioned choir comprising of students from every area of study at the University, both undergraduates and postgraduates. The choir sings at weekly services in King’s College Chapel on Wednesdays at 5.15pm and at other special services throughout the year, its repertoire ranging from plainchant and early polyphony to contemporary works, including those specially written for the choir by staff, undergraduate and postgraduate composers at the University.
How to join: The Chapel Choir is an auditioned ensemble. Auditions for the choir will be taking place in King’s College Chapel on Thursday 23, Friday 24 and Monday 27 September between 9.30am and 4.30pm. To sign up for an audition, please go to www.calendly.com/uoachoirs/auditions. Singers are welcome to audition for both the Chamber and Chapel Choirs at the same audition.
Rehearsals: Rehearsals take place on Monday evenings, 5.00-6.30pm, and on Wednesdays, 3.30-4.30pm. (However, since the first service or term is on 29 September, we will also rehearse on Tuesday 26 September at 5.00pm!)
