Aberdeen Orpheus Choir is a four-part (SATB) choir who perform a wide-ranging repertoire of choral music. Our programmes are varied, innovative and include classical and modern musical styles.

Our conductor, Jane Murray, is highly skilled in bringing out the best in the choir and our rehearsals are always fun.

We have 2 concert seasons during the year, Christmas and early summer when we perform in venues in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

We like to encourage young musical talent, so we invite exceptional young instrumentalists to showcase their skill at some of our concerts.

Life with Aberdeen Orpheus Choir is never dull. We are a very friendly choir and enjoy occasional social evenings.

Getting involved

New members are always welcome at the start of each season.

The choir is a good size currently, but there are a couple of vacancies for singers who have a reasonable ability to read music.  Prospective new members can sit in with a rehearsal for an evening, and then audition for voice and reading on another day, but this is a relaxed and friendly audition - nothing intimidating!
